MVP Sports Bar App: Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 18 2026

This policy explains what information the MVP Sports Bar mobile app (the "app") uses and why. The app is published by \MVP Sports Sycamore LLC ("MVP," "we," "us"), 124 S California Street, Sycamore, IL 60178.

The short version

You don't need an account to use the app, and we don't ask for your name, email, or phone number to use it.
We don't use advertising, tracking, or analytics tools, and we don't sell or share your information.
If you turn on notifications, your phone gets an anonymous code so we can send announcements. We never see a list of who signed up.
Online ordering, gift cards, and the group reservation form work through the same services as our website, and their own privacy policies apply.

Information the app does not collect

The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or payment information. It has no user accounts or logins. We don't use advertising, analytics, or tracking tools, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

Notifications (only if you turn them on)

If you allow notifications, the app uses Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging service. Your phone receives an anonymous device code (a "token") that lets announcements reach it, such as specials, events, or the rooftop opening. The app adds your phone to a single group that receives every announcement. We don't keep a list of devices, and the code isn't linked to your name or anything else about you. To stop notifications, turn them off for the MVP Sports Bar app in your phone's settings.

Google processes this code to deliver notifications. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Menus, hours, events, and photos

Each time it opens, the app downloads our current menus, hours, and events, and loads photos from the internet. These come from public web services we use to host this content: GitHub (menus, hours, and events), Squarespace (event pictures), and Sippo (drink photos). Like any website, these services may receive your phone's internet (IP) address as part of delivering the content. We don't receive or store it.

The app saves the most recent copies of this content, and the photos, on your phone so it works without a signal. This information stays on your phone and is deleted if you remove the app.

Ordering, gift cards, and group reservations

Some parts of the app show web pages from services we already use on our website:

Online ordering uses SkyTab, provided by Shift4. Your order and payment details go to Shift4, not to the app, and are covered by Shift4's privacy policy: https://www.shift4.com/privacy-policy
Gift cards are sold through Shift4's gift card store, under the same Shift4 policy.
Group reservation requests use the form on our website, mvpsportsbar.com, hosted by Squarespace. If you send a request, the name, email, phone number, and event details you enter are emailed to us, the same as when you use the form on our website. We use them only to respond to your request. Squarespace's privacy policy is at https://www.squarespace.com/privacy.

These pages may use their own cookies, as they do on the web.

Links to other apps and websites

The app can open Facebook, your phone's maps app, your phone dialer, and our website. Those apps and websites have their own privacy policies.

Age

The app shows our drink list and is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
